Snip-its Corporation Hires VP of Franchise Development

Minneapolis, MN (Jan. 2, 2013) – Snip-its, the fastest growing chain of children's hair salons in the U.S., has hired Kimberly M. Ellis as the new Vice President of Franchise Development. Ellis will be developing, implementing, and managing the company's franchise expansion program, a major focus of the organization for 2013. This is a new position at The Snip-its Corporation; work in this area previously was outsourced.

'Creating a position internally is a significant commitment we're making to the company as a whole and to our individual franchisees,' said Snip-its CEO James George. 'We are targeting to expand in the Southwest and Northeast regions of the U.S. With Kim's experience in the franchise and salon industries, she will be an invaluable part of our team.'

Ellis comes to Snip-its with a strong background in salon franchise sales and marketing. She previously worked for Premier Salons International, where she developed and managed marketing programs for 1000+ salons. Earlier in her career, Ellis worked in franchise development at Great Clips and was the Director of Operations for Trade Secret Salons, then owned by Regis Salons. She also was instrumental in launching FranChoice, which became the industry's premiere franchise referral network, and served as President of Bison Advertising, an on-line lead generation portal for franchises and an affiliate business of FranChoice. Ellis is a certified franchise executive through the International Franchise Association (IFA) and served on the IFA Supplier Forum Advisory Board until 2010.

Ellis, a Minnesota native, grew up in a family that owned two Schwinn Bicycle franchises in the Minneapolis area.

'I've spent the majority of my life and 14 years of my career in the franchise business,' said Ellis. 'I'm a big believer in the Snip-its brand experience. There are great things in store for this company, and I look forward to contributing to its system growth.'
