Decorating Den Interiors’ information technology director Charles (C.J.) Wood was awarded a scholarship to attend the worldwide SpiceWorld conference for IT professionals. He was provided conference registration, hotel expense and travel costs to Austin by scholarship sponsor LifeSize, a provider of HD video conferencing services.
Wood was chosen based on his leadership and technological expertise in managing a wide variety of IT services for his company’s interior design professional franchisees. He also instructs new owners on the range of internet and intranet services they are provided for their business management and communication.
Most recently, he played a major role in the development of the company’s new corporate website and redesigned local sites for each of its more than 300 franchisees, a voting site for its worldwide interior design competition, and its pioneering use of technology for a web-based system for lead nurturing, client relationship, financial management, automated email marketing, and advertising creation.
“In the six years C.J. has been with us, he has played a significant role in implementing new technology that gives our design professionals a competitive edge in their business management,” said Jim Bugg, Jr, president and chief executive officer of Decorating Den Interiors, North America’s largest in-home decorating service.
SpiceWorld Austin was created by Spiceworks, a company that provides a free IT web-app and online community of more than five million information technology professionals.
