Growth for Infrared Sauna Franchise Continues to Heat Up with Upcoming Debut in Downers Grove and Downtown Chicago

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (Sept. 7, 2021) – Perspire Sauna Studio, the nation’s fastest-growing infrared sauna studio franchise, announced today two new franchise agreements that will bring four new studios to the Chicagoland area over the next several years. These separate deals mark the debut of the brand in Illinois with the first studios slated to open in Downers Grove this fall and downtown Chicago by early next year.

Behind the signed agreement to bring locations to the Western Suburbs is local entrepreneur Steve Braverman, who has spent more than 20 years in the technology industry through a variety of roles, including launching startup companies. As part of his multi-unit agreement, Braverman’s first studio in Downers Grove is currently under construction at 640 Ogden Avenue.

“I struggle with body inflammation and have been misdiagnosed several times and even been prescribed medications that didn’t work. In the end, every doctor would always suggest infrared sauna therapy,” said Braverman. “That’s when I came across Perspire Sauna Studio, did my research, and decided to bring the brand to the Midwest.” 

A second franchisee in the market is Tanner Holmes, who’s been a part of the health, wellness and beauty industry for many years, running franchises such as European Wax Center and Sola Salons. During the pandemic, he began to search for a new concept to bring to the market to diversify his franchise portfolio and is currently looking for real estate to open his first Perspire in either Wrigleyville or Lakeview East by early next year.  

“COVID-19 was a reset for a lot of people including me, and it allowed me to look in the mirror and reestablish what I was doing with my own health,” said Holmes. “I found meditation to help me through the pandemic and Perspire Sauna Studio is another version of meditation because you get the chance to center yourself.”

The new infrared sauna studios will be equipped with Perspire’s first-of-its-kind infrared technology and color light therapy. In addition to the four studios coming to the Chicagoland area, Perspire has signed dozens of franchise agreements nationwide. The company currently has 17 franchise locations open and is on track to have 22 studios operating by the end of 2021.
