ROMEO’S PIZZA DELIVERS POUNDS OF CANNED GOODS TO LOCAL FOODBANKS
Medina, Ohio, January 29, 2013— Romeo’s Pizza delivered 1,866 pounds of canned goods to the Akron Canton Food Bank and 800 pounds of canned goods to the Cleveland Food Bank. Corporate staff from Romeo’s picked up the canned goods at all the Romeo’s Pizza locations and returned to the Corporate Office in Medina and loaded up the rented U-Haul truck. Some of the Romeo’s locations had 6-10 boxes of canned goods. The Romeo’s Pizza in Cuyahoga Falls had more than 10 boxes that contained 451 items.
In addition to the delivery to the Akron Canton Food Bank and the Cleveland Food Bank, Romeo’s Pizza also donated canned goods to the Second Harvest Food Bank and Feeding Medina County. The Mid-Ohio Food Bank received donations from Romeo’s Pizza locations in Columbus.
The Food Drive was from November 27 – December 30. Romeo’s Pizza offered customers $1 off their order when they donated to the Food Drive. Donations were accepted at each Romeo’s Pizza location and some customers gave canned good donations to the delivery driver at the time of the pizza delivery.
