GALLOWAY – Yogo Factory Galloway is a new build-it-yourself frozen yogurt cafe owned and operated by the Yogo Factory of Galloway.

Spreading the word through social media, Yogo Factory has nearly 2,000 friends on Facebook and it's only been open since Wednesday, July 20.

'The Yogo Factory's slogan 'You Build it, we weigh it, countless combinations' is one reason for their success as children and adults alike love to create their own healthy frozen treat,' said owner-manager..

'Yogo Factory was developed with the concept of the California-style frozen yogurt stores in mind, but the owners wanted to focus on offering a greater variety of premium frozen yogurt, and sorbets.'

By offering 14 flavors at a time and four new flavors each week, Yogo Factory is able to satisfy customers who want a different taste every day of the week, according to Yogo Factory.

'Upon entering Yogo Factory you are immediately greeted by a friendly member of the staff who explains the process for constructing your own unique special healthy treat,' Yogo Factory said. 'After custom making your own yogurt combination from choices like Sweet Coconut, Hershey's Chocolate, Alpine Vanilla, Mango Sorbet, Caramel, Strawberry, New York Cheesecake, Island Banana, Blueberry Açai Tart, Sugar- Free Alpine Vanilla, Original Tart, Cookies and Cream, Reese's Peanut Butter, Red Velvet Cake, Cake Batter, and more … you head over to the amazing 50-topping fresh fruit and toppings bar, including seasonal fresh New Jersey fruit, over 50 dry toppings, your favorite cereals, and countless syrups, hot fudge, caramel and more.'

Once you've completed your dish, you pay the cashier at 59 cents per ounce.

While 95 percent of their flavors are 100 percent fat free, others are low-fat and lowcalorie, containing less than 1.5 grams of fat and 80-100 calories per serving.

'Other benefits,' Yogo Factory said, 'Include lactose free, higher in protein than ice cream and the amazing benefits of the probiotic qualities of yogurt.' The Galloway store is the first in a 12-store plan.

The store was quickly packed with Galloway residents who were given their first four ounces of frozen yogurt free.

'The store had a total of 800 customers on their very first day in business, and is quickly becoming an afternoon or late-night favorite for many of them,' Yogo Factory said.

The owner attributes the success to the products' taste and low-fat, and low-calorie content.

Yogo Factory is open 10:30 a.m. to midnight seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Seasonal flavors will include pumpkin pie, spiced apple pie, Christmas mint and eggnog, according to Yogo Factory.
