May 5, 2011 - ATLANTA – Flip Flop Shops, North America’s first retail chain exclusive to the hottest brands and latest styles of flip flops and sandals, today announced that it has partnered with Cobian for its May system-wide promotion to give consumers the ultimate surf movie when they “Expose Their Toes” with Cobian.

Throughout the month of May, customers who purchase Cobian footwear at any of the Flip Flop Shops locations throughout the United States, Canada, Guam and the Caribbean will receive a free Cobian decal and “Walking On Water” DVD – a story of two young surfers, Tyler Hallen and Luke Davis, who find faith on the ultimate surf trip, as they travel the world, surfing with professionals.

“We’re amped to team up with Cobian for what is sure to be killer promo,” said Brian Curin, the President (Size 10) of Flip Flop Shops, expressing his enthusiasm for the third system-wide promotion of the year and its first with Cobian. “The company’s passion for surfing is contagious, and we’re hoping to spread this to all our consumers. ‘Walking On Water’ is a rad DVD – I’m sure it will leave everyone aching to hit the waves. In the meantime, they can deck out their boards with the sick Cobian decal.”

As part of the promotion, each Flip Flop Shops location will receive a promotional facelift, complete with Cobian window graphics and counter-talker graphics. In addition, Flip Flop Shops' unique and innovative 'flip flop trees' will be exclusively dedicated to the Cobian product line. Flip Flop Shops’ staff will create further awareness for the promotion by wearing Cobian branded tees.
