ORLANDO (May 15, 2012) - Sport Clips Haircuts is on target to hit its second 'billion dollars' in haircuts by 2014, says the franchise's Founder and CEO Gordon Logan.  Sport Clips is the nation's leading men's and boys' hair care provider with more than 880 stores in 39 states. Logan told the company's recent 'National Huddle' gathering here that it took 18 years to reach the first billion dollars in haircuts in 2011, but cited record store openings and sales, along with no store closures last year and continual improvements at all levels, as reasons Sport Clips will reach its second billion-dollar landmark in just three years. In addition, Logan outlined what he calls the 'BHAG' (big hairy ambitious goals) before the record attendance of 1,600 franchisees, area developers, managers, stylists, and support team members at the Disney Orlando Swan and Dolphin Convention Center.

Logan also shared that the company will soon celebrate the opening of its 900th store and has plans to have 1,000 stores open by the end of 2012.  'We are committed to improved accountability and better execution,' Logan charged the crowd.  'There's tremendous opportunity for growth as the franchise option of choice for business investors and in delivering the best experience for clients -- if we stay focused and properly execute.'  Sport Clips opened 91 stores last year, according to Logan, and is continuing to differentiate itself in the marketplace through brand-building efforts that include a stronger web and social media presence.

Highlights of the meeting included presentations outlining the record-setting success of a local store marketing effort by Gordon E. Logan and the company's Austin team; Robert Cromeans and Tommy Callahan of JPMS (John Paul Mitchell Systems;) Bob Prosen of The Prosen Center for Business AdvancementJason Young of Leadsmart, Inc.; the Disney Institute; an appearance by Sport Clips sponsored NASCAR drivers Joey Logano and Denny Hamlin; and an unveiling of the No. 11 Sport Clips Toyota, sporting a retro design to honor NASCAR Hall of Famer Cale Yarborough.

Special recognition was also given to the franchise's Help a Hero campaign and overall donation of more than 1.3 million dollars to help deployed and hospitalized soldiers call home at no cost through the Veterans of Foreign Wars' free call days program, Operation Uplink.
