The Dwyer Group Sets Record Month with 44 Franchises Awarded in June

WACO, Texas - (July 7, 2009) - The Dwyer Group, a holding company for six residential and commercial franchise service brands, has set a new company record in franchise development, awarding 44 new franchises across North America in the month of June. It is the second time this year the company has posted record growth, and it marks a total of 140 franchises awarded so far in 2009.

Robert Tunmire, executive vice president of The Dwyer Group who oversees the franchise development team, said the strong performance covers all six brands for the parent company. "We continue to attract quality franchisees in record numbers, and it is a true testament to the strength of our businesses," he said.

The Dwyer Group includes a franchise network of more than 1,400 franchises around the world operating under the brands of Aire Serv Heating and Air Conditioning, Glass Doctor, Mr. Appliance, Mr. Electric, Mr. Rooter and Rainbow International. Tunmire said the trend continues as The Dwyer Group attracts new franchise owners among entrepreneurs, people exiting big corporations and smaller service business owners converting their existing businesses into an independent franchise.
